Lauren joined FPC in February 2025, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in public accounting, along with valuable insight from her time at a private equity firm. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Winona State University and a Master of Business Taxation from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
Throughout her career, Lauren has built deep, year-round relationships with small to mid-size businesses — rolling up her sleeves to dig into their accounting records, supporting bookkeeping needs, guiding quarterly tax planning, and ultimately bringing it all together at tax time. That hands-on, full-cycle experience gave her a rare ground-level understanding of how businesses actually operate, and it continues to inform the way she thinks about client strategy today.
Her work with startup medical companies added another layer of perspective — navigating the financial complexity that comes with early-stage growth, where founders are often learning the language of business finance in real time. Lauren has always been drawn to that educator role, helping clients not just receive answers but genuinely understand their financial picture.
Now, as the leader of FPC's tax department, Lauren has stepped into a more strategic seat — focused on preparing C corporation tax returns and partnering with clients on quarterly planning. While bookkeeping is no longer part of her day-to-day, her foundation in it makes her a sharper advisor and a more credible voice in the room. Beyond her client work, Lauren is deeply invested in the growth of her team — working closely with her direct reports to strengthen their tax knowledge, sharpen their strategic thinking, and help elevate them in their careers. For Lauren, building great people and building great client relationships go hand in hand.

Lauren joined FPC in February 2025 as a Tax Manager, a title she still holds today, and one that only tells part of the story. From the start, she came in ready to work, diving into tax returns daily while simultaneously identifying opportunities to strengthen the team around her.
Within six months of joining, Lauren earned a seat on the leadership team — a reflection of the impact she had made not just technically, but culturally. She quickly grew into her role as an educator and leader, helping to elevate the team's collective knowledge and sharpen how they approach client work together.
The results have followed. From her first tax season at FPC to her second, revenue grew approximately 25% — growth made possible not by overstretching, but by building a team of strong preparers and instilling a culture of proactive time management. Lauren takes pride in the team's position to grow sustainably, with the systems and people in place to handle increasing complexity with confidence.
In just over a year, Lauren has grown from a new hire finding her footing to a key voice in shaping the direction of FPC's tax practice — and she's just getting started.
