Tell us about the work you do for Fine Point.

Here at Fine Point I work on a team as a staff accountant. I mostly handle the day-to-day accounting needs of our clients, assisting with month end close, and other various projects.

Tell us about your educational and professional background before you arrived at FPC.

I am a recent graduate of Luther College, where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. During the summer before senior year, I was able to land an internship with an HVAC contractor, and that experience provided me with valuable accounting knowledge and exposure.

What do you like most about working at Fine Point?

I like being able to work with a broad array of clients who are involved in different industries. I also like how Fine Point is a very tech savvy company, which enables me to complete tasks on a more time-efficient basis.

Is there a skill you’re learning or have learned since coming to FPC that you’re particularly excited about?

In the accounting world it is easy to not have to talk with others often, but here at Fine Point, I have enjoyed learning to communicate daily with clients and fellow co-workers to accomplish tasks.

Any favorite business, accounting, or other books, blogs, or podcasts you like?

A couple of my favorite business books are The Magic of Thinking Big and MONEY: Master the Game. When I am reading for enjoyment, I like any books written by Blake Crouch.

One thing others might be surprised to learn about you.

Something that may surprise some people is that I am a huge history buff and almost majored in history in college.

When you’re not working at FPC you…..

When I am not at work, I like to spend time with friends and family. I also enjoy hiking, playing basketball, and cheering on all Chicago sports teams (except the White Sox, of course).
